Help us give animals what they need ❤️

Your donations help provide the food, supplies and everyday essentials our animals need while in our care. New and gently used items are always appreciated and can make a real difference.

If you’re donating a used item, please make sure it is clean, safe and in good working condition. We don’t have the resources to repair broken items, and unusable donations cost money to dispose of.

Our needs change throughout the year, so please check our current wishlist before donating. If you’re unsure about an item, just ask us!

Prefer to let us do the shopping? Cash donations and e-transfers help us purchase what we need most.

If you have any questions, please call (780) 466-SCAR or email donations@scarscare.ca.

Other ways to help

SCARS needs quality animal transport vehicles, preferably with all-wheel drive. Our volunteers drive thousands of kilometres each year to bring abandoned animals (many of whom are sick or injured) to veterinary care and foster homes. We regularly travel between Edmonton and locations such as Athabasca, Westlock, Calling Lake, Maskwacis, Wabasca, Lac La Biche, High Prairie, Lloydminster, and many other communities. Our highest priority is to ensure our volunteers and the animals they transport are warm and safe during travel. The need to help animals is often greatest when the weather is coldest and when the roads are in poor condition.
