Hi there, my name is Cotton! I'm starting to discover how nice it is to sleep on people's laps. I also love to play and sleep with my family. I use the litter box well but, like all youngsters, I am still learning some household rules. I also like to be in a cuddle puddle with my sibling(s), so a family with another cat or a cuddly dog would make me feel right at home. Don't worry about adopting a black cat, there are a lot of reasons people prefer us! We have a reputation for being low maintenance; our hair doesn't show as much on your clothes, we tend not to shed as much as other colours, and we are actually considered to be good luck in some countries such as Japan and Scotland! There was even a study at the National Institute of Health that says the gene that causes our fur to be black protects us against certain diseases.
