Hi my name is Hercules. I came in as a stray and now I get to find a new family to love me unconditionally. I can be very shy when we first meet so sometimes I will bark at you because I'm a little scared of strangers, but once you gain my trust, I'll be your best friend! I will require multiple visits and some training before I will be ready to go home with you. I will also require training with new visitors who come into my new home to ensure our interactions stay positive. I'm a bigger sized dude, but I do amazing on walks, and I am fully house trained. I am food and treat motivated so that will be helpful in my ongoing training. I do know some commands, like sit, shake and lay down, and I am such a smart guy that I know I can learn so much more. SCARS thinks I may have a poultry sensitivity, but since switching me to poultry free food, I've been less itchy, and I feel amazing. I can be male dog selective so I'm hoping my forever home doesn't have one. I would do best with a confident female dog in my new home to show me the ropes. The staff at the shelter say I'm too big to be a lap dog but I respectfully disagree, if I fits I sits! If you think you'd like to give me my forever home, hit the adopt me button and let's meet!
