Hi future family! My name is Spike and I am ready top find my forever home. As much as I love my shelter family, I would love to find a home to call my own. I am a super sweet young man, with a couple of quirks. I am a little untrusting of people when we first meet, but I can quickly overcome this and figure out that not all humans are bad with a proper introduction. What does this mean? It just means that when you come to meet me all we need to do is go for a walk together with one of my trusted friends at the shelter so I can figure you out. I just need a bit of time to wander up to you and smell you, and reassure myself that you are safe. After that we can book a second meet and greet where you will be be able to take me for a walk, so again i can reassure myself that I am safe with you. That's it, pretty simple hey! Now onto the fun stuff. I am a super active guy so I would love to find a forever home that has a big yard for me to run and play in, or an active home that goes for lots of walks, or hikes. I have some pretty good leash manners thanks to the trainers i have been working with, but I do sometimes get excited and forget my manners, I'm easily correctable though. I am house trained and crate trained, and i travel really well in the car. I am also a social guy and I like to meet new friends, as long as they have the same energy as me, and respect me when I've had enough. So what do you think? Would you like to give me a second chance at a forever family? Apply today and set up a meet and greet. XOXO Spike
