I'm a big, beautiful, ball of love. My foster mom calls me a stage 5 clinger and constantly check in to ensure that I get her approval and that she's within eyeball sight at all times. I'm great with cats and small creatures. I'm also great with every dog I meet. I can be a little mouthy and will paw at you for attention so please no homes with young children.
I have a condition called Elbow Hygroma in both my front which is a common condition for dogs my size (about 120-130lbs) They will swell the size of tennis balls; it comes and goes depending on my activity level. The vet said it's nothing to worry about and it doesn't hurt, but it can look a little weird.
Here's my issue. I'm super attached to foster mom and I'm pair bonded with my foster sister so I can't just leave my situation for a new home. We've tried that before and it was traumatizing to me despite them being wonderful people with a super cool Cane Corso that was awesome to play with. As soon as mom was gone I shut down, even after coming home it took a couple days to get over being "abandoned." I need a family who lives in the Edmonton area who is willing to take a couple of weeks with me for playdates/sleepovers with and without my Doggo foster sister until I feel secure enough to move on. I think that will be the only way I can get the confidence and cut the bond that ties me to my foster family.
If you are in the Edmonton vicinity, have a young dog to play with, home most of the time and willing to put in the time and effort to get to know Mr first before taking me away to my new home then please consider me. I know it's a laundry list of pre-requisites but once I'm settled I'll be the bestest girl ever for your family.
