Hi there… um, hi. My name is Evelyn. I’m a small, quiet girl, and I’m still learning how to be brave in this big, loud world. Right now, I spend most of my days in cozy little hiding spots—it’s not that I don’t want to be seen, I’m just not so sure yet. Open spaces are still a bit scary, but I’m working on it. Even though I’m shy, I really do want love. I just need a little time. If you’re patient with me, I’ll slowly start to trust you—and then you’ll find out how much I love bum scratches and those gentle scritches under the chin. Those are the best. I might not ask for attention like other cats, but I appreciate it more than I know how to show right away. When the lights go out and the world gets quiet, that’s when I feel safest. I come out to play with my toys and explore like a little shadow. Sometimes I even announce myself with a soft little meow. If you say hello back, it makes me feel noticed, and that means more than you might think. I am starting to trust my foster parents and will now come for a cuddle and snuggle with them in the evenings. I've come a long way in a short amount of time since being in their care. I’m looking for someone kind, someone who understands that love can take time. I’ve never really had the chance to know the true comfort of a human heart—but I think, with the right one, I could finally learn. Maybe it’s yours?
