Hi. My name is Axel. My foster mom says I am pretty great and would be a wonderful addition to a family. I love to play and go for walks but as an older guy (about 8 years old) I also like to relax. My favorite thing is just being in the same room as my humans. It’s even better if you let me on the couch or bed and I am getting better at learning that those are places I can only go if I am invited. > > I am fully house trained and only chew on the toys my foster mom and dad give me. I am not crate trained but am pretty good at staying home although my foster dad works from home so I don’t spend a lot of time on my own right now. > > My foster mom and dad have been working with me on walking with a leash and am really good. I don’t pull much with gentle reminders. I now stay pretty calm when people walk or bike past but likely need to keep practicing. I am still working on learning how to greet other dogs but that’s also getting better. > > I would probably do best as either an only dog or maybe with a sister or another dog who is really calm. I am not sure about cats since my foster mom doesn’t have any but it may not be a good match as I do like to chase things. > > I am really good with the 9 and 11 year old small humans in the house right now. I like playing with them but I don’t try to knock them over or bite them. I am also good at politely telling them when they do something I don’t really like. > > Maybe I would be a good fit with your family?
