Hello everyone, Apple crisp here! I answer to Tubby as well, that is what my foster mom calls me with love. I have just celebrated 1 full year in my foster home as of September 14. My foster mom gave me some special treats and attention that day. She knows I'm not the happiest I could be as I'm not a cat lover like she is. I would prefer less cats in a home maybe just me as a solo cat would be fine too. I will tolerate other cats but not much of a playmate and I have not interest in making friends. I was loved once by a forever home, I had a very expensive surgery that most people wouldn't pay for and is the death of many male cats. Somehow, I found my way to a pound, and I was lucky that Scars was able to bail me out with a few other cats that likely would have all been killed for space. Scars is a non kill shelter and that isn't all shelters. My foster mom tells me I am very lucky as an unwanted cat that I get to stay in foster care for as long as needed to find my forever home. Animals in the other shelters are not so lucky the long term no interest animals get put in garbage bags and then in a freezer so space can be made for the never-ending need. Some shelters have caps on cost for each animal, if the cost to keep and treat is over say $500.00 off to the freezer for them. A sad truth few know. Some shelters might have turned me lose to fend for myself. Not Scars here I can stay as long as needed and get the urinary food my tummy needs to have a healthy tummy. I will never block again with my surgery I had this will never be an issue for me. The only issue is that I take up space from another cat that needs a shelter for a time. Scars has record numbers of animals in care with record numbers being turned away to a waiting list that goes on and on never ending. I wait for my foster mom each day for her to come home from work or from wherever she goes, I love to rub up on her legs and I get lots of head pets. I have a slight attitude which she feels is because of my environment. Her in my foster home there are many cats, some are smaller and high energy some are older, some are like me and just the lost and unwanted cats that the world has forgotten about. Here I must share my sleeping posts and beds, I must share my water fountains. I do have my own food station which is nice! I just really want my own family and my own sofa, and I will turn into my best self. No adoption is ever final, with Scars if the fit isn't prefect, I am always welcome back to Scars so no risk if you don't like me or we don't get along. There is no risk to give me a try. If someone has a big heart for an unwanted animal like me. Please don't wait now is the time to help and adopt, not next month, not after the next vacation but now. When you adopt 1 animal you save 2, the one you adopt and the one that can takes my place. Will that person be you ??
