Say hello to Duncan, or as his friends call him, Daddy-Duncs! This handsome lab mix is the perfect blend of playful and laid-back, with a heart as big as his goofy grin. At almost 5 years old, Duncan is past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of energy to enjoy life’s adventures—and then curl up for a cozy nap right next to you. He's truly happiest just being wherever you are. Duncan has great leash manners, although he sometimes likes to sneak between your legs on walks—just to keep things interesting. He’s also a curious explorer and loves having room to roam, so a fully fenced yard is a must to keep him safe while he gets his sniff on. Duncan does come with a few requirements. He was recently surrendered back to SCARS after a scuffle with another dog, so he needs to be the only animal in the home. He’s not a fan of cats either—they just look way too much like toys in his eyes. With humans, though, Duncan is a sweet and loyal companion. He does well with respectful children who understand his need for personal space and can read his cues. Daddy-Duncs is ready to give his whole heart to a home that understands his needs and will give him the structure, love, and loyalty he gives right back.
