Hello everyone, My name is Anna! I'm a super sweet girl who loves being pet and loves hanging around people. I have a few small medical issues that any potential adopter will have to be aware of and be willing to keep up on but don't let that scare you away! Not that it will stop my from enjoying my Second. Chance. My amazing Vet team is managing and I am able to jump again, get on the bed and sofa without issue or pain. It's a blessing to have grown old. Scars has taken amazing care of me and I have a foster home I can remain at as long as I like. I'm living my best life. That's what everyone should be up to. I'm happy as could be! My upside far outweighs my downsides I assure you! Even though I am over 9 years old now I still have a lot of love to give and will still play with toys and chase toys around the house if you throw them! Otherwise I enjoy spending hours laying on you or sleeping next to you in bed or on the couch. I also really like treats and I certainly know what the treat bag sounds like! I am a tad wary of other cats but given enough time and proper introduction I think I could tolerate them. I hope there is a place for me in your heart and home! If you'd like to adopt me I'd be happy to have a forever home. Click the adopt me button, and lets see what adventures come next!! ( I do have Cancer, so my years left are managed by pain meds )

I'm a Sanctuary Animal

What's a sanctuary animal? Sanctuary animals are permanent wards of SCARS due to medical conditions or behavioral issues and we are not likely to ever find an adoptive family. SCARS is committed to giving these animals a home and the love, care and attention they deserve! We house them at our two main intake facilities. We look to businesses to sponsor Sanctuary Animals to help us offset the cost of housing them. Click here learn more about our Sanctuary Animals
Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
