Rayon originally came into SCARS’ care in 2021 where she gave birth to 6 beautiful babies (Fabric Litter). She was the best mom and SOOOO loving with people but wasn’t a fan of other cats or dogs.
After some very sad news that Rayon needed to come back into care asap - her old foster mom rushed to pick her up from the SCARS’ Morinville centre. We’ve seen heavy cats and matted cats but it broke our hearts and were brought to tears when we saw Rayon’s condition. 💔
Rayon was sooo upset at Morinville with all that was happening and was hissing, growling and lunging at the kennel door.
Rayon was brought to her foster home where she took some time to calm down and settle back into a routine. At first she charged hissing and growling but was rubbing on her foster mom’s legs lovingly at the same time; poor thing was so uncomfortable and confused.
Rayon received amazing care at Marketplace Animal Hospital where she was given up to date shots, had her mani/pedi done and had her bad mats shaved out to relieve the pain and discomfort.
Rayon is on her healing journey with her foster home and has made huge progress in the short amount of time since returning. She’s playing, purring and working on her weight-loss goals.
Rayon greets her foster mom every morning with purrs and cuddles. She loves to climb right up on your lap and make herself at home whilst demanding to be pet. She is a sweet girl and would do amazing as a single cat in her forever home.
