Meet Doodlebug! Doodlebug is a handsome 1-year-old Shepherd mix with a big personality, a playful spirit, and energy for days! When Doodlebug first arrived into SCARS care, he was severely emaciated. Despite his difficult start, Doodlebug has continued to show just how much love he has to give, and he's ready to find a family who will give him the same in return. Doodlebug can be a little timid when he's faced with new people or unfamiliar environments, but give him some patience, encouragement, and time to settle in, and you'll get to see his true personality shine. Once he's comfortable, his exuberant and quirky side comes out! He's affectionate, playful, and always ready for some fun. This adventurous boy loves exploring the world around him and would make a fantastic companion for someone who wants a dog to join them on their adventures. He's great in the car, so whether you're heading out for a hike, exploring a new trail, or simply going for a road trip, Doodlebug would love to come along. Doodlebug gets along with both dogs and cats, making him a great fit for a multi-pet household. But, he's not so sure about children. He would do best in an adult-only home where he can continue building his confidence while enjoying plenty of playtime, affection, and adventure. If you're looking for a sweet, quirky, energetic companion who is ready to experience all the good things life has to offer, Doodlebug might just be your guy! Come meet Doodlebug and give this special boy the chance to show you his authentic, exuberant self!
