Meet Balboa. Balboa is a 10-year-old mixed-breed gentleman who is looking for a loving home where he can finally feel safe and spend his golden years surrounded by comfort and kindness. This sweet senior has had a difficult start to his journey. He arrived emaciated and is currently working on rebuilding his strength. He also has arthritis and advanced cataracts, which have resulted in complete blindness in his left eye and partial blindness in his right. Despite everything he has been through, Balboa remains an incredibly gentle and loving soul. Balboa absolutely loves his people. Give him some pets and attention and you'll quickly see his soft, affectionate personality shine through. He loves face kisses and being close to the people he trusts. He is also wonderful in the car and walks beautifully on leash, making him a lovely companion for quiet outings. Balboa is currently having some dental work completed to address a few fractured teeth. Otherwise, he is in excellent health and is ready to focus on the important things: resting, recovering, and learning what it feels like to be truly loved. Because of his age, vision loss, arthritis, and current condition, Balboa is looking for a quiet and calm home where he can take things at his own pace. He would benefit from a predictable environment where he can rest comfortably and have plenty of time to adjust to his surroundings. Balboa may not be looking for a life filled with big adventures, but he has so much love left to give. He is a sensitive soul who deserves to spend the rest of his life knowing what it means to be safe, cherished, and comfortable.
