Hi, my name is Chai. My littermates and I were all named after teas. I’m a typical three-month-old kitten, full of energy and curiosity. My brother Earl Grey happens to be with me in my foster home and we’d love to stay together if possible. I’m fairly independent and confident, but I will need an energetic playmate to help me stay out of trouble. We run around and roughhouse for hours every day, before settling down for long naps. When we aren’t busy playing, we love to cuddle, with each other or with the humans here. I’m litter trained but still make a bit of a mess unless the box is covered, so high sides or an enclosed litter box will make cleanup easier for you. I’m not a fussy eater and I’ll gladly drink water from a fountain or a bowl. I don’t mind being picked up and handled, though I might squirm free to go back to playing. I love belly rubs and headscratches. I’m getting used to having my nails trimmed. I haven’t met any dogs yet, but I think I’d be fine with a proper introduction. I’m vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to find my forever home. If you’ve got time and energy to keep up with me, and you’d like an energetic ball of fluff (or two) to be your best friend, click Apply to meet me.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
