🍯 Hi, I’m Spicy… although I’ve been told I’m much sweeter than my name. If I had to describe myself in one sentence, it would be this: I’m unapologetically myself. I’m the kind of girl who greets each day with a wagging tail and a curious heart. I believe every walk is an adventure, every patch of grass deserves a good roll (or an enthusiastic somersault before the roll 🤭), and every person I meet could become my new best friend. I’m happiest just being near my people. Whether we’re out exploring together or relaxing at home, I’ll happily follow you from room to room just to see what you’re up to. And if you sit down, don’t be surprised if I gently lean all of my 90+ pounds into you. I just really like being close. I’m house-trained and settling beautifully into home life. My foster mom says I’m learning quickly, especially when treats and praise are involved! I’m working on things like staying on my bed while meals are being prepared (because sandwiches smell amazing… can you blame a girl for trying? 😉), and every day I’m getting better at making good choices. Walks are one of my favourite things. I still get excited sometimes and might pull if I spot something especially interesting—like a rabbit—but overall I’m discovering that walking nicely means we get to enjoy even more adventures together. I’ve also learned that I like my personal space to be respected around other dogs. I’m doing well walking past them and coexisting calmly in spaces, but I’d appreciate slow introductions and a family that understands I don’t need every dog to be my best friend. I’ve been doing wonderfully with the children I’ve met so far! I’m gentle, affectionate, and seem to enjoy being part of the family fun. Like any big girl, I sometimes forget just how much space I take up, so I’d do best with kids who understand that 92 pounds of love occasionally comes with a leaning cuddle! I’ve also been living peacefully with cats in my foster home. I’m curious about them and may watch them or try to say hello, but I’m learning to respect their space. With slow introductions and proper management, I’ve shown I can happily share my home with feline friends. Mostly, I’m just looking for what every dog deserves—a family to love with my whole heart and to be loved in return. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh with my silly antics, keep you company wherever you go, and remind you every day to find joy in the little things… I think we should meet.
