Hi, I'm Ciro! Now that I've been in foster care for almost two months and my personality has fully come out, it's time for an update about the accommodations I will need in my forever home! First: you're gonna have to secure your garbage. While my past is a bit of a mystery, it seems likely that I had to feed myself out of the garbage for a while, and even though I'm well-fed now I am still always on the alert for anything that might be edible and very interested in what you're keeping in the garbage. To keep me safe and your sanity intact, you'll want to make your garbage and recycle as inaccessible as possible (behind cupboards would be ideal, but locking or latching lids could also work). Second: I have the curiosity of a toddler and *way* more ability to get into unexpected places. Closets, high shelves, inside the dishwasher...boy do I love to investigate everything! And, well, sometimes that means things end up going crash by accident. My family will need to have patience for my explorer's spirit and to be strategic in how they arrange breakable treasures, tech and houseplants. Toys and playtime can help keep me busy and stimulated. In short, if your house is full of precarious piles and glass figurines you're really attached to, I may not be the best fit for you! Now that's out of the way, my qualifications to be your new family member haven't changed: I'm a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to play, watch out the window, and hang out near you. I will likely be shy when we first meet, but soon you'll start hearing my rusty meow as we become fast friends, and I'll come bump your hand to get head pets. I don't have a mean bone in my body and am great with other cats. It would be my dream come true to have another cat friend to play and cuddle with. My history with dogs is not known, but my foster parent thinks I could likely adjust to a respectful canine housemate.
