Hello, world. My name is Tango and I’m an adorable grey and white kitten. I’m about 7 months old and very soft (once I let you touch me). I didn’t have the best experience with humans before coming into care, so it takes me some time to trust people. I have a tendency to hide at first, so make sure to give me a safe space to do that. I’d thrive in a quiet, calm home or with experienced cat owners who understand my body language. Having a confident cat in the home with me will help a lot too, especially an older, social cat. I’m wary of human’s touching me and flinch at first contact, but once I realize I’m safe I purr up a storm and love affection. I’m getting a bit braver every day, learning that I’m allowed to play and just be a kitten. I think as I grow up and learn that humans are safe, I’ll be fine with just about anyone, but right now I’m quite shy and need a lot of patience. I’ve been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Now it’s time for me to find a forever home where I can come out of my shell on my own time. Are you looking for a sweet, shy girl like me? Will you be the one to keep building my confidence? If you think we might be a good fit, click Apply to meet me.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
