Hey there! My name is Lazy, but don't let the name fool you—when it's playtime, I'm full of energy and ready for fun! Once the day winds down, though, I'm happy to curl up in my crate and sleep soundly until morning.

I'm a little shy when meeting new people. Dogs and cats are my friends, but humans can be a bit intimidating at first. If someone comes on too strong, I'll retreat to my safe place—my kennel—until I feel comfortable. I've got a lot of love to give; I just need a family willing to let me build trust at my own pace.

I'm a quiet, easygoing boy who enjoys having a space of my own. My crate is my happy place, so I'll need a home that understands and respects my need for a cozy retreat when I want to rest or recharge.

I could fit into almost any type of home! I'm expected to stay on the smaller side, likely under 40 lbs when fully grown (though no guarantees!). I get along well with dogs, cats, kids, and adults. Whether your home is busy or quiet, I'll do great as long as everyone respects my boundaries.

Another dog would be wonderful and could help me settle in more quickly, but I'd also be happy as an only pet if you're willing to give me plenty of patience, love, and reassurance.

I'm currently learning all about potty training. I'd never dream of using the bathroom in my kennel, but I still need guidance to learn where it's appropriate to go. The good news? I'm very food motivated, so I'm eager to learn and should catch on quickly!

One important thing to know about me: I have bilateral lateral luxation of my kneecaps (both knees), which will require corrective surgery once I've finished growing. The surgery will be performed in Westlock, and my future family will need to be committed to getting me to my appointments and helping me through recovery.

The great news is that this condition doesn't slow me down one bit right now! I'm an active, happy puppy who loves to play, run, and explore. You'd never know I have a future surgery ahead of me because I don't let it stop me from enjoying life to the fullest. I can't wait to meet my forever family and start our next adventure together!
