Hi! My name is Jermaine! I am one of the cutest, sweetest, and quirkiest little guys around. When I came into care, I was really scared. I had been living on the streets and learned to stay alive by be cautious and staying hidden. But after I was rescued, I realized I LOVE people. The problem is, I’ve been scared for so long, it’s been taking me a while to trust I’m not going to get hurt when I come out of hiding. I am looking for a family who will understand and appreciate my quirky behaviour. The good stuff is I’m fabulously cute, I keep my fur pristinely clean, I am really good about using the litter box, and I am also getting really good at using a scratching post. The quirky part…. I’m still getting over some of my fear behaviours, and I currently like to stay hidden most of the day. I come out in the evening to party. When I get brave enough to come to my foster family, I get completely overcome with LOVE!!!. I fling myself down and roll around, begging for belly rubs and pets. I give aggressively snuggly head butts. I am very vocal, I trill and meow and make all sorts of funny sounds. However, sometimes I do this in the middle of the night, looking for someone to party with. I want to be friends with the resident cats and dog, but they are all kind of mean to me. I think I’d enjoy a confident cat or dog buddy who would help me run off some energy and me find my courage. So to sum up, I am an amazing, loving little guy, but I need a home where my family will understand my funny ways, and continue to let me find my confidence at my own pace, and won’t be mad at me if I’m a bit nocturnal. Foster mom says I’m making huge progress, and with love and patience, I’ll be the best guy ever. Also, I need a home where I will be an indoor cat only. It’s amazing I survived in the scary outside world, so I deserve to be kept safe and happy forever.
