Hi, I'm Andrew — if you saw me two months ago, you wouldn't recognize me now! I came into foster care shy and unsure, but I've come a long way since, and I'm ready to tell you all about it. I'm a playful guy who's perfectly happy entertaining myself with a toy or an empty box, but I light up even more when you play with me. I have a lot to say and will meow at you throughout the day — for what, exactly, my foster family still hasn't figured out. It's just part of my charm. When I'm not playing or chatting, you'll usually find me perched at the window watching the world go by, or working out my energy on a scratch pad or scratch post. I'm a sweet, affectionate cat who comes to you for pets and cuddles on my own terms, and I'll instantly purr and flop as soon as you start. Speaking of excited — you have not heard loud until you've heard me at feeding time. I will make sure you know dinner is late by approximately thirty seconds. I do things at my own pace. If you walk toward me or reach out, even slowly and gently, I'll probably duck away or dart off — but I'm working on it, and my foster family has seen real progress. I'll often hop up on the couch and cuddle right next to you on my own, no coaxing needed. I just need people who'll let me be the one to close the distance, and with a little patience, I think I'll keep coming out of my shell. I'm a young, social guy at heart, and I genuinely love the company of other animals. From the moment I met my foster family's cats and dog, I was curious and brave — no hissing, no hiding, just confidence. I'll admit, I was a little scared of the resident dog at first, but these days you'll find me sleeping right beside her. It says a lot that I warmed up to my foster family and their animals so quickly, even while I'm still working through some caution around new people — I think it means I just need the right setup to really thrive. I've also got a ton of energy for play, and my foster family thinks I'd do best with a buddy. I get along great with their two-year-old cat —we're basically the same age and play together constantly. So if you already have a young, playful cat at home, I'd absolutely thrive. If you're looking for a talkative, window-gazing companion who plays hard, loves other animals, and would love a playmate — I might just be your guy!
