I am currently being fostered in Whitecourt.

I might not be the first one to run up and say hello—but I hope you’ll give me a moment. The world can feel a little big and scary to me sometimes, and I’m still learning that I’m safe.

I’m a gentle, timid soul who just needs time, patience, and a kind heart. New places, new people, and loud noises can make me unsure, so I tend to hang back and watch quietly. I love watching the world from my kennel which is my “safe” place since I came into care. But if you move slowly and speak softly, I’ll start to feel brave enough to come a little closer.

Once I trust you… that’s when you’ll see the real me. I’ll lean in for comfort, stay close by your side, and show you just how much love I’ve been holding in. I bond deeply with my person—I just need the chance to get there.

A few things about me:

    •    I’m shy and easily overwhelmed at first

    •    I need a calm, patient home

    •    I do best with slow introductions and gentle guidance

    •    I form strong, loyal bonds once I feel safe

My dream home:

Somewhere quiet, predictable, and full of understanding. Someone who won’t rush me, who will celebrate my small victories, and who sees the beauty in a sensitive heart.

I currently live with another dog and two cats, and we all get along just fine—I’m pretty independent and respectful of everyone’s space.

I’m still learning my leash skills, but I’m eager to please and will most likely catch on quickly. With a little patience and consistency, I know I’ll be a pro in no time! I can be a bit unsure around small children right now, but I’m working on building my confidence and believe I’ll continue to improve with time and gentle exposure.

I may take a little time… but I promise, I’m worth it!
