Hi, my name is Calista (Cali). I initially was adopted from a high-kill shelter in California, but ended up being too much for the other dog in the home, so SCARS took me in. I am a beautiful husky around 3 years old. I have been told that I have the most stunning ice-blue eyes. I am an active girl and like playing with other dogs I am familiar with. I walk well on a leash with a halti. I have lots of energy and will need an active home, preferably with a larger male dog buddy. Like most huskies, I like to go to the bathroom in a certain place. Please take the time to initially let me out and show me where to do my business. I am a quick learner and I know how to sit, stay and shake a paw. I am very curious and like to explore. I love to be with my people. I travel well in the vehicle. I can be a bit mouthy, so older kids (10 years +) would be best. In my previous home I did show some resource guarding with food and I was known to escape if a gate was left open. What do you think? Could I be a match for your family? If so, fill out an app. If not, tell your friends about me!
