Meet Luna! Sweet, gentle, and a little bit timid, Luna is a two and a half-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who is learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. This lovely girl is still building her confidence, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine through. Luna has a very special way of greeting people: her **signature nervous smile**! It’s hard not to smile back when this sweet girl flashes you her goofy grin. She is good with both people and cats and would love a patient family who will give her the time and encouragement she needs to come out of her shell. Luna is currently learning how to walk on a leash and does best when she has another dog by her side. Having a confident canine companion helps her feel safer and gives her the courage to explore. Because of this, Luna would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can show her the ropes and help her continue building her confidence. Luna came into care with two of her puppies after tragically losing one of them after they were hit by a car. Despite everything she has been through, she remains a kind and gentle girl who is ready for a fresh start and a family of her own. Luna is also waiting for entropion surgery to correct an inward-rolling eyelid in one of her eyes. Once she has recovered, she’ll be ready to continue her journey toward becoming the confident girl we know she can be. Luna is the type of dog who will quietly choose your side and, little by little, learn to trust you with her whole heart. She’s looking for someone who understands that the best relationships take time and who will be there to celebrate every little bit of progress along the way.
