Hi world! I’m Big Momma… also known as Lil Momma 💛 I came into Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) with my four kittens after having a pretty rough time — I was mauled by a dog and had some serious head injuries, which meant I had to have my left eye removed. It wasn’t easy, but I’m a tough girl and I made it through. Since then, I’ve been recovering in a loving foster home where I’ve had lots of time to rest, heal, and start feeling like myself again. And now… I’m ready to find my forever home. I love under-chin and neck scratches and am slowly learning to trust and explore more each day. I’m not quite a pick-me-up-and-snuggle type yet — I prefer affection on my terms — but give me a little time and I just might surprise you. I’m living with another cat (I mostly mind my own business) and a couple of dogs who are giving me space while I continue to decompress. I’ve got great litter box manners, a healthy appetite, and my fur is getting soft and shiny again now that I’m feeling better. My dream home? One with a cozy bed, a nice high perch, and a window where I can watch the world go by. 🐾 I may still have a bit of vision impairment in my remaining eye, but it doesn’t stop me — I can still explore, climb, and jump like a champ. I’m healing more every day and ready for a future filled with love, patience, and safety.
