Hi, I'm Barton! I'm a pretty laid-back cat, but I can be a bit timid when I first meet you. When I first got to my foster home, I was so scared! But now two months later, I am a huge lovebug. You can hear me purring from across the room! I love to rub up against you to get pets. I can still get a bit startled by loud noises or sudden movements, so I don't think I'd be a good fit for a family with young children or excited dogs. Calm, confident cats and dogs would be okay though, and older children who are respectful of cats are also fine! My ideal family would also help get me to a healthy weight, as I am a little bit pudgy. If you're looking for an adult kitty that just needs some patience and love, please consider adopting me!
