Meet Our Little Miracle Girl 🐾
This very sweet, gentle soul has already come so far in such a short time. When we first picked her up, she was completely blind and deaf, deeply disoriented, and either sleeping or walking in circles. She was incredibly snuggly but very wobbly, and when overwhelmed would panic-circle. Eating and drinking were a challenge—she would dunk her whole face into her water, sway while trying to eat, and needed pasty wet food because she couldn’t pick up kibble on her own.
Fast forward just a few weeks, and the progress has been nothing short of amazing.
✨ Her Glow-Up So Far ✨
Drinks water independently without dunking her face
Eats dry kibble with ease using a slow feeder (worked up from paste → wet food → kibble!)
Walking in straighter lines and exploring more confidently
Appears to be regaining some sight and/or hearing
Uses pee pads reliably and keeps her bed clean
Can now settle on her own instead of circling constantly
Finds her bed and water dish in her pen independently
Sat for the very first time last week 💕
Every day, we see something that looks a little more “puppy” and a little less neurological.
💖 Personality & Temperament 💖
Her personality is starting to shine! She’s discovering goofy play behaviors—rolling onto her back, gentle play-biting, and even letting out the tiniest play bark now and then (otherwise she’s a quiet little lady). Her favorite snuggle position is flat on her back, shameless and happy.
She absolutely adores people of all ages and loves giving kisses. When snuggling, she likes to gently nibble or suck on clothing as a soothing behavior. She nuzzles right into your arms and melts there.
🐶 With Other Dogs 🐶
She enjoys the company of calm, older dogs and doesn’t mind higher-energy dogs sniffing around her. She doesn’t quite know how to play with other dogs yet, but she coexists beautifully.
🏡 Home & Handling 🏡
Inside the house, she’s doing wonderfully—no more panic circling or disorientation. Outside is still overwhelming, but instead of panicking she’ll simply lay down, almost as if grounding herself (and she may have figured out that laying down means someone comes to scoop her up 😉).
Because of her vision/hearing impairment, she can startle if approached from behind. We simply approach from the front and let her sniff our hand first, and she’s completely comfortable with handling. You can touch any part of her with ease—she tolerates sweaters, baths, foot washing (she’s famous for stepping in her poop mid-poop), and even stands in her food dish to eat. Nothing phases her.
🦷 Puppy Details 🦷
She’s lost all but one or two baby teeth and is very much still a baby learning about the world.
💛 The Bottom Line 💛
She is a resilient, affectionate little lovebug who has already overcome so much. Watching her discover comfort, confidence, and joy has been incredibly special. She will thrive with patient, gentle humans who celebrate her progress and love her exactly as she is.
If you’re looking for a dog who will snuggle into your heart (preferably upside-down) and remind you daily how powerful kindness can be—she’s your girl.
