Hi! I’m Bolt! I have FIV
What is An FIV-positive cat has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, a virus that weakens their immune system, similar to HIV in humans, but it's a cat-only disease not transmissible to people. While they can live long, healthy lives with proper care (indoor living, regular vet visits, good nutrition), they become more vulnerable to secondary infections, so diligent owners focus on preventing illness and managing opportunistic infections. Transmission usually occurs via deep bite wounds from fighting, making indoor living crucial for preventing spread.
Because of this, my adoption fee is waived. I can have a totally normal life as a solo cat or with someone else who has FIV
