Meet Poncho — 60 Pounds of Lap Dog (with Built-In Satellite Ears)

Yes, the ears are real.
Yes, they are magnificent.
And yes, they absolutely help me detect snacks from impressive distances.

But I’m not just a set of iconic ears—I’m also a sweet and resilient guy who’s come through a lot and is now happy, healthy, and ready to live life to the fullest.

I had hip surgery a few months ago, but that’s all behind me now. I’ve made a full recovery and have a clean bill of health—no restrictions, no limitations—just a normal, active dog ready for my next chapter.

And here’s the most important thing you should know about me:
I am a 60-pound lap dog. Personal space is more of a suggestion.

I’m the perfect mix of playful and ridiculously cuddly. I love to bounce around and have fun—but when I’m done, I will climb directly into your lap like I weigh 10 pounds and settle in for maximum snuggles.

I’m also a bit of a character. I’ll gently tap you with my paw when I want attention, let out the occasional dramatic sigh (it’s a tough life being this cute), and sometimes sing you the songs of my people. I bond closely with my humans and love being part of whatever you’re doing.

There are cats and other dogs in my foster home, and I do well with both. I’m curious about the cats and mostly respectful, though I’ll admit I sometimes try to paw at them or convince them to play. (Good thing they’re patient with me.) As for dogs, I love them—I really haven’t met one I don’t like.

I’m looking for a home that will appreciate a big cuddler (this is non-negotiable), include me in everyday life, give me a little patience while I settle in, and provide love, consistency, and a cozy place to snuggle. Your lap counts.

I’ve already done the hard part—now I’m just ready to love my people, make you laugh, and take over your lap like it was always meant to be mine.
