Hello, my name is Selene 🌙 — and I’ve spent a long time putting everyone else first. I came into care as a feral mama with 11 tiny babies, and along the way I also helped raise 6 more kittens who didn’t have a mom of their own. I loved and protected all 17 kittens, teaching them how to be safe, confident, and loved. Now that my job as a mama is finally done, it’s my turn to learn what it means to simply be a cat. I’m still learning to trust humans and to feel comfortable in an indoor world. I’ve made wonderful progress, but I do best with a quiet, patient home that understands I may need time, space, and gentle encouragement. I’m not the kind of cat who will rush into affection — my trust is something you earn, and when you do, it’s incredibly special. I get along well with other cats and find comfort in their presence. I’m not sure how I feel about dogs. Because I can be easily overwhelmed, a home with older children who can respect my boundaries is very important for me. I do have excellent litter box manners and take pride in keeping my space tidy. If you’re someone with a calm home and a kind heart who believes in giving second chances and slow beginnings, I may be the perfect companion for you. I’ve spent my life caring for others — now I’m ready for someone who will patiently care for me. 🐾🌙
