My foster Mom said we should proceed like I am applying for a job. So here we go. Dear Future Family, Please accept my application to be your forever friend. I will be a loyal companion and work hard to enhance the joy in your life. I am food motivated and active, together we can work on our fitness and health goals. I would fit in well with another dog in the home or I could be an only dog. I won't be perfect and will make mistakes along the way, but it is a wonderful journey we can take together. I feel I can present my best skills to you in an interview format, please review my resume (below) and connect with my foster Mom to arrange a meet and greet. Sincerely Colter Resume for SCARS Puppy Colter (I am like Biance or Madonna no need for a last name) Puppy seeks long term position with an active forever family. Although my previous job experience is limited I make up for it in enthusiasm and charm. I have excelled after a very rough start in life and look forward to forging a bright future in the right family. A quick summary of my skill set and proficiencies to see if I meet the requirements of your job opening. Professional level: Cuteness - expressive photographs to share with your friends. Your phone can have a thousand pictures of me. Ears up, ears down, one ear up the other down. You will have endless pics to show friends and family. Stuffy de-stuffer - For one so young I exhibit precision skills in the Stuffy destruction department. I can turn the entire yard white in a relatively short time. Resilience - left at a pound with my family, I subsequently survived both parvo and Giardia (SCARS and the Vets helped me out there) but I was more than up for the challenge. I have a clean bill of health now and am fully vetted. Expert Level: Intelligent - I am smart, I learn routines quickly. I will admit to having a bit of a stubborn streak. I most definitely know what I want. Energetic - I like to play, I like to run. Other dogs are fun. I think the cats should play with me. They don't seem to appreciate it. I am not mean and I don't dislike them, but I Intermediate Level: Crate training - I have been perfect in my crate overnight, I am starting to go in without being asked and no messes. I do feel strongly that a treat should be waiting for me in the crate for my entry (see likes routines in the expert level) and something to chew on while in the crate is my preference. Beginner Level: Manners and obedience - offers an area for growth and improvement. Coaching and guidance is necessary. I am learning to walk on leash, but haven't quite figured it out yet. Keeping my paws on the ground also needs work. Experiencing life in general - A scary beginning at a pound, followed by the parvo diagnosis has limited my ability to see the world. I do need encouragement in new situations, but quickly build my confidence. References available on request:
