SCARS Vehicle Fundrasier!

Our current transport van is in rough shape and we’re in need of a new one!

A Lifeline on Wheels: Our Goal
We’re launching a
n urgent fundraising campaign to purchase a new, dependable transit van equipped for animal rescue. Our goal is to raise $70,000 to cover the cost of the vehicle and necessary modifications for animal transport.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Homes Alive Pets, all donations made through August 2025 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000! This means your contributio
n will have double the impact, bringing us closer to our goal of getting a new rescue van.

Oh dear. Is someone there? Eek! I’ll be the fully grown, adult male shamelessly hiding over here in the corner, thanks. My rescue name is Big Boy on account of my size, but my foster family thinks it really should Shy Guy. My owner passed away and with no place to go, SCARS swooped to the rescue. Being in a new house has been pretty intimidating, but everyday I am becoming more confident. My foster family suspects I am coming out during the day and exploring when the house is empty but I bolt to the back corner of the master bedroom once a noise occurs. After 1 week of living here, the closet is still the safest, until the door closes for bedtime and I don’t have to worry about anything trying to eat me! Once the house is quiet, I happily say hello to my foster parents, curling up with them while they read. I love to help my human brother read too and will venture to his room for some quiet time. Chin scritches are where its at and I enjoy a good snuggle and belly rub too, although I don’t get picked up too much given my size. My 8-year-old human brother and I like to play with light up bouncy balls. He’ll toss them and I will eagerly bat them around until a shadow scares me and I run off to my closet. I’m a pretty laid-back, easy-going guy. It will take me no time at all to warm up to a new family, but I am looking for a family that will be patient with the little bit of time it will take me to get comfortable in my surroundings.
