SCARS Vehicle Fundrasier!

Our current transport van is in rough shape and we’re in need of a new one!

A Lifeline on Wheels: Our Goal
We’re launching a
n urgent fundraising campaign to purchase a new, dependable transit van equipped for animal rescue. Our goal is to raise $70,000 to cover the cost of the vehicle and necessary modifications for animal transport.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Homes Alive Pets, all donations made through August 2025 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000! This means your contributio
n will have double the impact, bringing us closer to our goal of getting a new rescue van.

Hello, my name’s Chicken! It’s a funny name, but foster mom calls me Chicken Little, Chicken Nugget or Chickie. I’m the sweetest baby-faced little girl, with a unique orange tail with a white tip that stands out against my pale grey fur. I also have a cute peach-coloured thumbprint on my forehead. I was pretty scared when I arrived at SCARS, but I’m starting to come out of my shell, with the help of those delicious licky treats! I’m still timid but getting braver ever day. I enjoy rubbing against the humans’ legs and having my head petted, but I’d prefer to not be picked up thank you. Maybe in the future I’ll be ready for that. Toys that squeak or chirp get my attention. I’m sweet and gentle and have managed to convince the rather bossy cat here to be my friend. Now we enjoy playing chase together. I think I’d get along well with other friendly, playful cats like me. I would prefer a home with just adults please or adults and cats. Do you have a peaceful place for me to call home? Then please click the ”adopt me” button!
