A Lifeline on Wheels: Our Goal
We’re launching an urgent fundraising campaign to purchase a new, dependable transit van equipped for animal rescue. Our goal is to raise $70,000 to cover the cost of the vehicle and necessary modifications for animal transport.

Hi my name is Artichoke! I came into SCARS because the woman who found me thought I was pregnant but I was actually just a boy with a bit of a belly. I was in pain when I was first brought in from a leg injury and an ear infection and I was very afraid and shut down. But now that I’m all healed, I’ve really perked up and have started to show my personality. I am a gentle and curious little guy. I spend lots of my time playing with my tunnel and anything that I can bat around. But my favorite things are getting treats and affection. I love to purr extra loud and roll around on my back as I am getting pets. Unless it’s meal time, I am happy to stay cuddled up to my people and am looking for someone to shower me with the affection I deserve. P.S. Whatever belly someone might have seen is all gone and the vet says I am a perfectly healthy weight, thank you very much.
