Hi there, I'm Cricket! 🐾 I'm a little guy with a big heart—just under a year old and full of love to give… once I feel safe. I'm a shy Chihuahua with a gentle spirit, and I’m still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. I can be nervous around new people and need slow, calm introductions. "Stranger danger" is real to me, so I’ll need someone who understands that building trust takes time, patience, and kindness. Once I do feel comfortable, I’m incredibly affectionate. I’m a world-class lap warmer and love snuggling up in a cozy spot next to my person. I also have a playful side—squeaky toys are my absolute favorite, and I get the cutest zoomies when I’m feeling safe and happy. I get along well with cats and other small dogs, and I’d do best in a calm home with adults or older, respectful children who can go at my pace. I’m house trained and picking up new things every day—gentle encouragement goes a long way with me. More than anything, I just want to find my furever home—one that sees past my nerves and understands that under this shy exterior is a pup full of love and loyalty, just waiting to shine.
