Hello, my name is Garfunkel! My brother Simon and I were gifted to an older couple by a young niece. The couple we lived with really loved us, but they both developed serious health issues, so couldn’t keep us. We were welcomed to live on a neighbour’s farm last fall and have spent the winter in a cozy shop with lots of space to explore and lots of human attention. Now that winter is almost over, my brother Simon spends most of his time in the outdoors and he loves it. Not me! Maybe I’ll get used to some outdoors time eventually, but for now I feel safer indoors. I want lots of loving attention and my favourite place will be on your lap. I will purr loudly for you, wrap my paws around your neck, give you lots of kisses and fall asleep on your lap. I like to play with toys, especially if you’re playing with me. I got along well with the large dog in my first home but would love to be an only cat. If you’re allergic to cats I might not be a good choice for you. I do shed a lot of fur. One of my current human friends tolerates most cats well but seems to have a big allergic reaction to me. Too bad, because she’d love to adopt me! I’m a big, handsome, healthy boy (8.4 kgs) and I could bring you delight for many years to come. I can’t wait to meet you! You’ll fall in love with me, I know you will!
