Hello, my name is Akasha! I’m a sweet, happy little girl who loves people and gets along with other dogs. I’m around 10 months old and already showing how clever I am. I’ve learned to sit for treats (yum!) and my foster mum says I’m about 99.5% housetrained—I'm doing amazing! We are still learning walking on leash as currently, I am all over the place and will even nibble on the leash as we walk I get along really well with the resident dogs in my foster home. We’ve started playing together, although I must admit, I do like to claim all the toys as my own. 😄 I do have a bit of a curiosity around cats, and while I love to follow the resident cat and try to play with him, my foster mum thinks I’d be best in a cat-free home. I’d be happy to go to a new home with or without other dogs. I’m still a young girl and would benefit from continued training to help me grow into a well-behaved adult. I love to please and I’m a quick learner, so I’m excited to work on any training with my new family! I sleep in my crate during the day when my foster parents are at work and at night, and I sleep soundly through the night. I’m also working on managing my excitement around people—I can occasionally nibble on ankles when I get overly excited, but foster mum says I’m much better than when I first arrived. I haven’t been around any children, so foster mum can’t say how I would do around them.
