Hi there, I’m Twiggy! I’m a sweet and gentle Rottweiler mix, around six years old, and I’m looking for my forever home. My foster mom says I’m a calm, loving girl who wants to snuggle and be by your side. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a little love (and some cuddles!), and I’ll be your best friend in no time! I’m great with people and love making new friends, but I prefer slow introductions when it comes to other dogs—I can get a little jealous and would be happiest as the only dog in the home. I haven’t met any cats in my current foster home, but my previous foster said I did well with them. I’m also great with kids! When it comes to training, I’m fully house-trained, an amazing leash walker (I never pull!), and I know some basic commands like sit and recall, though I could use a little more practice. I’m a quiet girl and only bark at new people—or sometimes at magpies, but who can blame me? I do have an old hip injury and a previously broken jaw (which has been wired and is healing well), so I’m not the most active dog. I don’t need a big yard or long walks, but I do love car rides and looking out windows. More than anything, I’m just looking for a loving home where I can be my person’s loyal companion.
