Hi, I’m Marija ❤️💚 When I first arrived at SCARS, I was very malnourished and unsure of the world around me. I was nervous and frightened, especially of people, though I still allowed gentle touch. With time, kindness, and the support of my dog friends Buddy and Muskwa, everything began to change. Their confidence helped me find my own bravery and taught me that people can be trusted too. I had never worn a leash before coming here, but after a few tries, I discovered something wonderful—leash time means adventures! Walks are now one of my favorite things. Over the past few months, I’ve grown so much that I now happily approach my people and even feel comfortable greeting strangers. I’ve always been a gentle soul and I truly love other dogs. I would thrive in a home with a confident, social male dog who can continue to guide and reassure me, along with a patient, understanding human who will give me the time I need to settle in. I may need a little adjustment period in a new environment, but I’ve already proven how far I can come with love and consistency. I’m a beautiful girl with a soft heart and so much love to give.
