Hi there… I’m Sable 🤍

I’m a one and half year-old white beauty im a happy bouncy baby girl that’s still growing and my foster mom thinks im going to be a bigger girl when im all grown I’m all filled out, so if you’ve got room in your heart (and on your couch) for a larger best friend, keep reading.

I’m currently living in a foster home, which means I’ve been getting a head start on learning how to be the best house dog ever. Guess what? I’m doing super well with house training! I’m very proud of myself. Crate training is still something I’m practicing. I don’t always love it yet, but I’m learning it’s a safe place and not a forever place. I care a LOT about my people. Because of that, I’m still working through some separation anxiety. At first, I thought if I was separated from everyone it meant something terrible or that I’d been forgotten. Now I’m learning that sometimes we eat separately, sometimes we rest separately, and everyone still comes back. I might cry a little at first, but I’ve been getting much better at settling myself down. I’m trying really hard to be brave.

I absolutely love other dogs and I’m very polite about it. I’m good at reading body language and adjusting my play style. If I get extra excited about things like dinner or going out for a hike, I might let out a little happy howl — I just have big happy feelings sometimes! But I’m also learning that being pushy doesn’t make food or fun come faster. I’m smart enough to figure that out.

Speaking of smart… I am a very smart girl. I don’t just want physical exercise — I need brain exercise too. I love puzzles, learning games, and little challenges that make me think. I light up when I have something to figure out. Big adventurous hikes? Yes please. Exploring new places? Absolutely. Give me a job, a game, or a trail, and I’m in. I’m also discovering toys for maybe the first time in my life. The soft, squishy ones are my favorite. Sometimes they… um… explode. Not on purpose! I just get enthusiastic. I’m still learning how to play gently, but I truly mean well.

I love cuddles more than almost anything. If you sit down, I will very likely climb right into your lap like I was designed to be there. I give the best kisses. I adore humans. I bond deeply.

Because I’m young, I do have a higher prey drive and get very interested in small, fast-moving things. I’m still a puppy with big instincts and big curiosity. With guidance and continued training, I’ll keep learning how to focus that energy in the right direction. I’m not perfect — I’m growing. I’m learning what toys are. I’m learning that alone time is safe. I’m learning manners. I’m learning how to channel my smart brain. And I really, really want to belong to someone. If you’re patient, active, and ready to help a sweet, sensitive, intelligent girl keep blossoming… I promise I will give you every ounce of my heart.

Love,
Sable 🐾 PS. My Foatet home is near Pigeon Lake, so travel to meet me may be in your future.
