If only….
I hadn’t been born without a home to a mother dog struggling to survive, without the simple vaccines to protect us.
If only….
My teddy bear had the magical powers I believed it did. If it could have protected me and kept me safe while I huddled with it for comfort and warmth.
If only….
Those kind rescuers could have found me sooner. I know they did their best and got me to veterinary care.

There was a cure for parvo virus once we catch it. It is such an unforgiving disease, particularly for one so young. I tried so hard, but the disease was too much for me. I passed peacefully knowing love, hoping other pups like me don’t have to wonder: if only….
Pups like Vanni break our hearts and motivate the SCARS family to continue to work towards creating a better future.
