At SCARS, we’re dedicated to helping several rural pounds overflowing with dogs. Some of these pounds are strictly outdoor facilities, which makes it challenging for them to stay warm and clean during extreme cold conditions. On a recent visit, we met Tony, one of the many dogs in need. In our efforts to decide who to rescue, we prioritize puppies, sick, and injured dogs. In Tony’s case, he was limping and had a severely infected ear that was caked with blood. We knew he needed urgent medical attention, so we brought him into our care to ensure he receives the help he deserves. He’s now seen a vet and received treatment for his ears, and now he’s waiting for X-rays on his back end.
