August 29, 2025 – Warning: Graphic Images

Today was a constant uphill battle of requests for emergencies.

  1. Two dogs at the emergency vet tonight due to being hit by a car from different locations.
  2. One dog with a neck laceration that is currently in emergency.
  3. One dog who was either attacked or had a vehicle accident. His tail is in quite awful shape and he is also at the emergency vet.
  4. On the way home we found a kitten in distress on the highway.

These were just the emergencies. On top of these, we had over 22 requests today. Despite these overwhelming circumstances, our team of volunteer drivers pulled together and made a real difference. There’s still a lot to process, but we are grateful for everyone’s dedication and quick thinking today.
