Hello  SCARS, it has been 11 years since I wrote to you to say THANK YOU for all that you do.  You were instrumental in bringing Sasha into my life 11 years ago! She has been a main focus of all my days, as for 9 of those years I was a single huMom to her before my spouse came into our lives. I work 12 hour shifts, so to act as though I am the only one who has been important in her life would be untrue. She has been to daycare and enjoyed dog walkers when she was younger, the comfort of my parents’ home, and the immense care and love of my previous landlord during the pandemic when I had to work many days in the hospital as a nurse. She has many friends – human and pup – who love her so much.

She has had so many adventures!  She’s touched the ocean and licked a glacier. She has car camped, been on a ferry, stayed in many a cabin and hiked many a trail. She is 12 years old now and her hips are not what they once were. These days she enjoys home cooked food and slow sniff filled walks in the park, and a lot of time lounging on her favourite chair. She is in good overall health and loving life. We are thankful for every day we have with the three of us together. I can’t thank you enough for rescuing her and caring for her for the three weeks before we found each other!

Here are some photos of her life since I picked her up from a foster on April 28, 2013.

I feel like I won the dog lotto every day I wake up to her leaning into me, nose on my cheek.

Thank you again for all you do!
