August 23, 2025 Update

Ralphie here! I’m settling in beautifully! I love hanging out in my cozy gated area on my comfy bed, and when my foster family has to go out, I happily curl up in my kennel. I take all my medicine like a champ, and I’ve had zero accidents in the house (proud of that one!). I don’t bother with the cats at all—and since they ignore me too, we get along perfectly. I’ve also been friendly with the resident dog through the gate, which makes everyone happy.

My recovery is a bit of a marathon—12 weeks of crate rest—but I’m handling it like a star. Once I’m fully healed and neutered, I’ll be ready to find my forever family, hopefully around November. For now, I’m soaking up all the love and care I deserve.

Right now, I’m going to the vet three times a week for checkups and bandage changes. It’s an hour drive each way, but I don’t mind at all—I actually enjoy the journey since I’m such a laid-back guy. My foster family hopes once my sutures are out, the trips will be less often and closer to home. Until then, I’m just relaxing, healing, and enjoying every moment.

Meet Ralphie! This incredibly sweet and handsome boy has been through so much. He came to us with a badly broken leg and a serious infection, but fortunately, he found kind-hearted people who stepped in to help him on his journey to recovery.

Ralphie has already made the trip to Westlock Veterinary Centre for his initial treatment and is now with the specialists at Guardian Veterinary Centre to mend his leg. Right now, Ralphie could really use our support to help cover the costs of his surgery. No donation is too small, and every little bit helps pave the way for Ralphie’s healing. Once he’s on the mend, he’ll be ready for a forever home, and we can’t wait to see him thrive!
