Hi SCARS, we just wanted to say thank you. Nine years ago we adopted a beautiful black lab cross named Luna from a SCARS adoption event. She was a truly beautiful, smart and gentle soul. Once our kids arrived she loved them like they were always with us.
She sadly developed a lump (non cancerous) that grew quickly, and to us was misdiagnosed. Too late we realized it had grown inward and there was no guarantee the surgery and follow-up radiation would save her. So last December we made the hard decision to end her suffering.
However… I wanted you all to know that we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to adopt her and have her as part of our family and lives for 9 years.
She found her forever home, and was loved immensely. She will be missed everyday for a very long time.
