Hello SCARS, Greetings from Lucy (formerly Shari). I was adopted on February 11th. In a rare moment of downtime, I’d like to update you on the progress I’m making.
Coming from that batch of eight or nine collies, you might not even recognize me. Who knew Mom had canine pheromones for me when I got home. After only a week and a half, I was mostly potty trained. Mom and Dad still have to figure out my signal for going out, but I don’t pee in the house anymore. I have great fun in the 2 feet of snow we’ve got here and I play around with the bestest best uncle big brother named Ryder. I can jump all over him and he won’t say anything. I’ve got myself a collar with the most important piece of jewellery ever. It has my very own name and Mom’s phone number on it. I have another collar to tell me where the electric fence is. I have lots of room to play and an uncle big brother to show me where home is in case I get lost. I got the sit thing down pat and I follow Mommy around like a puppy. I even let her put the leash on but the leading thing is a work in progress. I will come to her with the leash but only if she gets down on her knees and has treats.
I really am grateful for the time I spent with you, SCARS. I hope all my siblings have also been adopted. I’m glad I had faith that my forever family would come along cause I truly believe the best is yet to come.
