A senior lady had been caring for a colony of 15 cats in a small town until one day she stopped coming. She sadly had passed away. 🌈
No food, no water, no familiar face chatting with them and patting their heads; what a sad and confusing time. Unfortunately, by the time we got word that they needed help it was just too cold to trap safely.
This past weekend some wonderful volunteers braved the cold to get as many to us as possible. They all have frostbite and upper respiratory infections so they went straight to our partner vets for care.
We will continue working on this colony until they are all safe. Thank you to our trapping team and to our vets for squeezing them in with little notice. ❤️🐾
