Meet Heather!
“There is nothing more rewarding than watching the shy, shut down, sick or injured animals come out of their shells, transform in front of your eyes and move on to find their happy endings.”
Heather started volunteering as a handler at SCARS events. She then began fostering animals in 2013 and is now a Foster Home Supervisor, a role which she has held since 2015. Heather is a huge asset to the SCARS team. She not only goes above and beyond to help her foster homes when they are in need, at any time of the day, but she is also super knowledgeable and always willing to support and help out our other volunteers!
