December 14, 2022 Update…
‘Tis the season of miracles!ππ Baby Grizz here, and from the depths of despair to the joy of today I wanted to update you all. ππ
I am thriving. At this point there have been no complications from the freezing cold and the loss of my mom and siblings. I am eating and drinking well, going outside for potty breaks and I have a new dog friend. I am learning the ropes from 16 year old SCARS alumni, Cooper and 5 year old SCARS alumni, Buster. My foster family and all their friends just adore meβ¦ and really who wouldn’t be obsessed with my adorable charm! β€οΈ
December 9, 2022 Update…
Baby Grizz here and I have been through great tragedy and great joy in the last few days.
I just want to start out by saying…I love you all, with my whole heart – I love you all. π₯°π₯°
The loss of my mom and my siblings hurts deeply, I miss them so. π
The SCARS family has welcomed me with open arms and hearts and I am filled with gratitude.
I want to say a very special thank you to the community bylaw officer who crawled under that abandoned building to rescue me – that was above and beyond. Truly an angel here on earth. ππ
I also want to say a special thank you to my foster family. I need a lot of care, including comforting and snacks at 3 AM. They don’t seem to mind and are so gentle, patient and kind to me.
There is a long road ahead, as a puppy I am so vulnerable to so many things, but I promise I am going to make the best of this chance I have been given.
SCARS depends on supporters to help little ones like me. Please consider joining the volunteer team here and help give others like me their second chance.
Love Baby Grizz πππ
December 8, 2022…
Brutal cold, terrifying darkness.
One by one my siblings drifted away, victims of winter’s viscous cold. My mom held on as long as she could, but she too found her wings. And then there was one.
All…by….myself and nowhere to turn.
No prospects and no hope. Except out of the darkness I saw a bright light. π An angel? No, but close enough, local bylaw officers with help from the RCMP found me huddled under an abandoned shack and crawled in to get me. βHow they knew is a mystery to me, but somehow they arrived in the nick of time and with loving hands they picked me up, not tonight, not on their watch would I perish. π
They knew exactly who to call. And although SCARS resources are stretched to the limit, their hearts always find room for one more. π₯°
I am little, maybe 6 weeks old, the odds are stacked against me but if you listen carefully hope is whispering. I am warm today, getting love and nourishment and I have the greatest of all things….Hope whispering to me. β€οΈ
Please support SCARS in whatever way you are able.β
