Hi SCARS, You may not remember this gorgeous black lab as she was adopted from SCARS over 14 years ago! Her adoption name was Ezra, we got her at 5 weeks old, but we re-named her Tikka.

She was level 2 retriever trained, crazy for fetch and in her prime, could catch a Frisbee 5 feet in the air. She helped our first baby learn to stand by letting her grab onto her fuzzy ears while she moved backward to let baby go forward… all with extreme patience. She love to sit (all 95 lbs) on your lap for cuddles whenever you sat on the couch.

The alpha to our two other SPCA rescue dogs she was always laid back, wise, kind, loyal and loving. She passed away Nov 3, 2018 from cancer but I still wanted the people of SCARS to know that they gave me one of biggest loves of my life and I will be forever grateful to them for that!

I have always been in awe of the work the volunteers &  foster parents do and want to say thank-you to each and every one of you!  If not for you , so many people would miss out on having that special fur baby as part of their family.

Take care,
Dawn
